David Baker, stream biologist for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, holds two nice smallmouth bass collected from the South Fork of Licking River in Harrison County during population sampling. September and October are fantastic months to fish for smallmouth bass in Kentucky streams. After a wet spring and summer, streams across the state are in the best shape since spring.
